Moving to Mobile Alabama and the Top Cities around Mobile. Satsuma, Saraland, Chickasaw, Prichard and Semmes, Alabama are the places I visit in this video. I’ve lived in Mobile, Alabama my whole life, so I know a thing or two when it comes to details about the area. There are definitely some pros and cons to living in Mobile, Alabama, but I mostly share about the pros because I love it so much! In this video, I fill you in on all of those things so you can be better prepared and gain some excitement before your move to Mobile, Alabama.
One of the things I get asked a lot has to do with living outside of the hustle and bustle. A lot of buyers want a place that is close enough but not too close. They all seem to want a little breathing room, not be too close to their neighbors and live on a larger piece of land. Yep, so many phone calls I receive are from people wanting a little land. But, not too expensive. One of the great things about living in the Mobile area is the ability to live large without breaking the bank. Our cost of living is so cheap compared to other parts of the country. Do some research and you will see. We are way under the national average for several things.
Property tax? I still can’t believe the price when I am doing research for clients. They can’t either. So many are paying 3 and 4 times what we pay. So for that reason alone it might be worth it to take a look into making the big move down south. If you can live with the heat, you will have it made!

I recently helped a client buy a home in Satsuma because they loved the small town feel the community provided. It’s very close to I-65, which gives you quick access to downtown, but yet it is still far enough away from the hustle and bustle to give you a sense of separation once you head to the house.
Below shows the new Saraland High School. If you are looking to move to Saraland, Alabama, you should visit the campus. It can be seen from I-65 as you approach exit 13 headed north.
Check out the new Chickasaw Fire Station. It is shown in my video above, but this will give you an even better view. Chickasaw is an even smaller town than Satsuma, but still close enough to the interstate to give you fast access to downtown and the city of Mobile.
