I’ve lived in Mobile Alabama my whole life. There are so many GREAT things to see in Downtown Mobile Alabama. In this video, I fill you in on all of those things so you can be better prepared and gain some excitement before your move to Mobile Alabama.
In this video, I try and cover a wide range of places to visit in Downtown Mobile. You’ll find everything from hotels to bars to parks and restaurants.

Bienville Square is a highlight in downtown Mobile. You should definitely stop by, especially in the spring when the weather is just right!
The History Museum in downtown Mobile is something you should definitely make time for. Many people who live in Mobile have never been because it’s something we take for granted. Don’t let that happen to you! This place is an absolute must!
One of downtown Mobile’s most popular restaurants is called Spot of Tea. They are famous for several things, but one of those items is their strawberry tea. This is very popular for brunch on the weekend, so don’t miss out!
The Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Mobile is a relatively new addition, but one that was desperately needed. This hotel is very popular because of its convenient location and walkability.
The Bankhead Tunnel is one of downtown Mobile’s most recognizable landmarks. Whatever you do, keep this in mind: if you drive a big truck or RV, heed the warning signs with the height limitation. Trust me on that.
Talk about character! This building at the corner of Dauphin Street and Royal St. is absolutely gorgeous.
This recording studio is a hidden gem in downtown Mobile. As a sidenote, my former band Big Daddy Weave and I recorded an album in this exact building. Great memories!
Chuck’s Fish in downtown Mobile has a great reputation for amazing food and great service.
You can’t have a collection of photos of downtown Mobile without including the iconic Hoffman fine furniture company. If you’re over 40 years old, you’ve definitely heard their catchy television commercials through the years.
People always say New Orleans is beautiful, but just take a look at this beautiful building. I think downtown Mobile has its own unique brand of beauty and character. SOCU is a treasure in downtown Mobile.
This view in downtown Mobile is absolutely stunning!
Too many bands to mention have paid a visit to this bar and live music venue in downtown Mobile. The Soul Kitchen is unlike any place you will find.
The Loda Bier Garten is famous for so many things, not to mention a great place to hang.
Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que is a very popular location in downtown Mobile for some amazing barbecue! They also feature a large meeting room that can be rented for large parties or other meetings. On a weekend, it’s common to see a lot of people out walking in this area. It’s very popular.
Heroes Sports Bar & Grille is another very popular place in Downtown Mobile. It’s right across the street from Cathedral Square which of course is always full of activity.
